ニューパワージェネレーションのセカンド・アルバムであるExodusは、95年にヨーロッパのみで発売され、そのまま廃盤となってしまったレア・アルバムです。メイン・ボーカルがソニーT、そしてトラトラという変名を使ったプリンスがコーラスにそして音楽そのものに携わっています。しかしプリンス主導、というよりはバンド全体でサウンドを構築している辺り、ニューパワージェネレーションのアルバムとして機能していて異色感があります。今回はそのExodusのスペシャル・エディションをリリースします。Disc 1にはそのExodusを収録させ、Disc 2以降はそのアウトテイクス、全リミックス、そしてAnthologyにも収録されていないエディット・バージョン、プロモのみのバージョン(NPG Recordsのサンプル・カセット、The Good Life Exodus Sampler ExperienceからのFree The Musicのロング・バージョン、 そしてThe Exodus Has BegusのEditがそうです）、プリンスが歌っているバージョン等、徹底的に網羅した画期的なタイトルです。正にこれぞExodusの決定盤のリリース！
