確かにプリンスの音源をアナログ、CD問わず完全収録を目指しているタイトルです。しかしFun With Vinylは音にこだわりがあります。Technics SL-1200MK2のレコードプレイヤーで再生、Yamaha RX-Z1のオーディオ・ヴィデオ・レシーヴァーを通じて、ソニーのPCM-R300のDATテープに録音。それをTurtle Beach CatalinaのサウンドカードとCool Edit ProのソフトでPCに音源を取り込み、クリックノイズを取り除く等のリマスタリングを施してデジタルwavファイル化。音質は最上級にまで高まっています。そしてAnthologyシリーズでは未収録のEditバージョン、そしてプリンスが関与していないと判断して未収録となっているB面曲も収録しているのも画期的です。そしてプリンスは関与していませんが、縁のあるアーティスト、その以前、以後も含まれます。

Fun With Vinly Vol.19とVol.20はアメリカでの7インチをまとめたものでした。
