ブーチィー・コリンズの13枚目のアルバムTha Funk Capital of the Worldリリース後のミネアポリス、ファースト・アヴェニューでのライブをプリンスのライブも録音しているテーパーによる超上質オーディエンス録音で収録。ドラムにフランキー・ワディ、キーボードにバーニー・ウォーレル、レーザーシャープ、ギターにブラックバード・マックナイト、ベースにT.M.スティーブンス、錚々たるメンツによるThe Funk U-Nity Bandとのライブは壮絶。ブーチィーの名曲を素晴らしいアレンジで、そこにジミーヘンやスライ、そしてファンカデリックの楽曲を織り交ぜる、後半には新曲Don't Take My Funkもプレイし、終盤にはパーラメント等のジョージ・クリントンのメドレー、そしてラストにはMothership Connectionを70年代のマザーシップ降臨を思わせる素晴らしいアレンジで披露。ジョージ・クリントンのライブでもブーチィーのナンバーを引用することはあります。メンバーがPファンクを共有しているからであり、お互いがファンクを献上しているからです。それでもこのブーティーのバンドはファンク度が更に高い！ファンク好きには是非聴いていただきたいタイトルです。
